Avery-Copp Museum welcomes you to a History Open House
You are cordially invited to an Open House on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at 35 Broad Street, Groton, CT
Join us to explore a colonial revival gem. This house overlooking the Thames River was built in 1916 by Pierre and Louise Avery Schellens. The home was recently bequeathed to the Avery-Copp Museum by their grandson Peter Schellens and his wife Lila.
This house has many stories to tell– stroll through it at your own pace taking in all its original architectural features. Enjoy music, hors d’oeuvres and refreshments with a beautiful view of the Thames River.
