Thanks to a $3,500 matching grant from the 1772 Foundation, administered by the CT Trust for Historic Preservation, we were able to restore the paint finishes on the north side of the house, completing phase II of a three phase project. Thank you Connecticut Trust!

The Avery-Copp House has a new face!
Thanks to a grant from the 1772 Foundation and CT Trust for Historic Preservation, the paint on our front facade was restored by Berk’s Fine Painting of Uncasville. The work began in May and was completed by mid-June. The restoration is the first phase in a three phase project to give the historic house a much needed face lift and to protect the clapboard from the elements. Come see our bright new look and admire the painstaking effort it took to restore the facade and its decorative components to its original grandeur!
